What I Learned Today: squirrels can't vomit

A random conversation in the hallway brought up this interesting fact: squirrels can't throw up. I was dubious so, of course, I pulled out my phone to check it out. Sure enough, squirrels lack the neural circuitry required for puking! I assumed (yes, yes assumed) that all mammals could toss cookies. Some rodents lack the physical aspects required to yak. Apparently you need a proper esophageal musculature and wind-pipe length. I had no idea so much went into losing your lunch!
